Chosen Solution So long story short, i had to open my ps4 after it kept overheating, which I fixed, but I also partially disassembled the disc drive while doing so. I ended up with one small metal bracket, about 1 cm in length. This screw goes through the hole of that grounding fin. That fin can normally be found between that plate and the mid-body. Make sure you didn’t also misplace the vertical stand screw receiver on the other side of the PS4....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a switch here I am currently repairing and I’ve traced a short down to the TC94B15WBG component. I removed it and noticed a bridge between two solder balls so removed and reapplied the chip but short is still present so I am going to replace the chip but I am wondering if anyone has any experience replacing these and if they’re interchangeable as I have noticed the writing on the chip “EINL O” is different on different boards despite them being the same revision of board....

We also need to know is you are having sound and which light is on. If you have sound but no picture it could be that the backlight array has failed. Pretty common for LG TV’s. If you have not sound and no video it is possible that this is a mainboard issue....

Chosen Solution I opened my phone earlier today to check for a loose power cable connection (the power button hadn’t been working right since I replaced my battery) but opened it too quickly and tore the front-facing camera and sensor ribbon cable. Somehow, I didn’t tear any of the other 2 connectors that connect the screen to the main assembly of the phone. Chosen Solution Not sure if there is something I missed when installing but I’ve messed with the connections and took everything off the new screen and check the ribbons, I’m not seeing any damage but I’m amusing its because its a cheap replacement screen. I also tried to connect the damaged one back on and am not getting any response from that either. The damaged screen was having a hard time but was still a little responsive so I’m not sure if it is just a bad replacement screen or if its a different problem....

It’s not a major worry but a phone i got a month ago should not be at 12 by noon when it stays in my backpack. Chosen Solution I have an unresponsive vertical section of screen that is half an inch wide that runs from the top to bottom of phone. The phone has not been dropped and has no cracks. Visually the screen looks fine. It recently started to work again sometimes, but will stop working randomly. Any ideas? You will need to rule out a faulty screen although this can be costly if it doesn’t fix the problem....

Chosen Solution Hi. My niece just bought a used Iphone 8 plus and was told that just before receiving the phone, he would put a new display on it. Soon after, the phone started showing black and white vertical stripes a couple a times a day, and seemed to fix itself. Here is a photo: I took the phone apart and had a look. Found broken glass pieces from the former display i would guess, cleaned that all out....

Chosen Solution I was replacing a shattered screen and before I replaced it I noticed very thin white lines in the display. The digitizer still worked, even though the screen was shattered. I tested my replacement screen on a new phone before attempting the install on this one, and when I put it on this one, I noticed that the same very thin white lines are present on the display (see photo below)....

Chosen Solution My ps2 video is not visible only audio is available with new video cable If your new cable is component rather than the standard av cable that came stock then you must go into your video settings to change it to component with the standard av cable still attached.
