What is the model number of the laptop? What light is on? Assuming it is the power light only then if there is no image on an external monitor after you think that the laptop has “booted” when you have pressed the appropriate function key(s) to switch to an external display you have no way of knowing whether the laptop has booted or not....

The screenshot i took via the OS has NO verticals lines, so i guess the graphics chip is fine. Chosen Solution Vizio D65u-D2 turned the setting to standard and medium. Picture loss issue resolved. If I set picture to Vivid, lose picture after a 5 to 10 minutes with audio only. Turn off, turn on, issue repeats. Ordered the power supply board to see if it allows me to use Vivid setting without loss of image.
